Home Renovations
What can cause the cost of a renovation to change?

Unexpected costs can arise once walls, floors, or ceilings are opened up. Common examples include plumbing or electrical issues not visible during estimating, such as improperly installed plumbing, undersized electrical circuits, hidden water damage, HVAC ductwork, or framing that does not meet current building standards. Changes to the project scope, like upgrading finishes, adding features, moving walls or relocating plumbing fixtures, can also increase the budget.
